Parents: Cadets please make sure your parents read this!

We have sent several emails concerning some events that we have an opportunity to work and raise some funds for our Sea Cadet's Chapter. We need money to operate as I am sure you can understand. We cannot survive on a "free ride" all year. I have worked these events for the Navy League and it is nothing to make $3000-$4000 per event...... Much better money than me asking you to volunteer on a car wash or collecting money outside your neighborhood grocery store with a pail....  We prefer to work these "high cash" events rather than to ask you for personal money to support the Cadets. Please respond to the next email sent out on these events from the CO. If we don't get a reply from you I will start calling you for support as it is much needed. When you consider the rewards your Cadets (your children) will get from this parental volunteer program, we are not asking for alot to have you come work a couple of weekend days or nights....please consider this .....as all money will go back to our chapter and will reduce the cost that we need from each of you for an event.

As an FYI....I think most of you will enjoy working these events. It's a great social atmosphere as we all get to get together as parents and get to know one another. It's a team approach to make it work. I have never walked away from one of these events and not enjoyed working the event....Or the time I spent working the event. It was fun and rewarding!

Please consider this and respond when requested......

Thanks!
